Hi, I am Chris Jackson.
I am a wedding photographer and portrait photographer from Snowdonia in North Wales.
Choosing your photographer can be tough, not only do you have to love their work, but possibly more importantly, since you spend so much time with them on one of the most special days of your life, you really need to get on with them.
Given that, it would probably help if you knew a bit about me.
I live up in the mountains in Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales with my soulmate (yes, I believe in soulmates). I'm a really outdoorsy, and probably spend more time outside than indoors. I love being out in nature, whether that's hiking in the mountains, camping or walking our 2 chihuahuas Milo and Cleo. I also love exploring the countryside on my motorcycle.
I'm a bit of a soppy git, I love a good love story. Which is probably why I love weddings so much. It's such a privilege being with a couple as they make that commitment to each other. (And yes I have been known to tear up during the vows, but don't worry it's never stopped me getting beautiful pictures). I aim to capture all those emotional interactions between people and tell the story of your day.
I like to cultivate a relationship with my couples. In the lead up to the wedding, if I find things that I think might interest you, you bet I'll send them to you. And if you have any questions or worries, I'm always there, and happy for you to get in touch, (even if it's not to do with the photography). On the day I'll be mixing with your family and friends, chatting, and getting to know people. It helps them (and me) relax, so that we can get better pictures. That said I'm not loud and in your face, I'm a bit of an introvert, so most people comment on how quiet, calm and unflustered I am.
